Whats the difference? traffic violation?

I am wondering what is the difference between an obstruction of view violation and a vehicle equipment violation. I was curious because I was given a ticket for vehicle equipment violation for having a satellite radio attached to the bottom left part of my windshield, and I would think this was an obstruction of view but he wrote otherwise.

sounds like it could be either, but the fines will be the same.
